About Open Lane Signal
Open Lane Signal was built on a simple idea: tools change constantly, but knowing how to use them well doesn't come automatically. It takes real product judgment.
Businesses don't need another tool to figure out on their own.
They need someone who knows how to evaluate what's actually useful and how to put it to work.
“The work has changed—but the questions have remained remarkably consistent.”
Meet Founder JC Landivar
For two decades, I've helped organizations make sense of complex product decisions — what to build, what to adopt, and how to turn strategy into something that actually gets used. That's the same question underneath everything I've done: not “what's available,” but “what's actually worth using, and how.”
Today I bring that same product-strategy lens to helping organizations put AI to real use — not just adopting a tool, but understanding what it's actually for, where it fits, and how to get real value out of it as things keep changing.
You may know this work under a different name. Open Lane Signal grew out of ProductLand — same thinking, now applied to helping organizations use AI well.
Putting principles into practice…
Every organization already has real knowledge about what it needs. Our role isn't to arrive with a predetermined tool or answer — it's to uncover the questions, assumptions, and patterns that reveal what's actually worth building or adopting.
Good product decisions aren't imposed. They're discovered. That discovery happens through listening, structured thinking, and practical experimentation — with any tool, at any stage.
